Welcome to the salt secret that will
enhance your life like it did mine!!
When we think of salt, we think of it on our food, but salt has been proven
to have a lot of benefits for your health and wellness. I would like to tell
you about my personal experience with himalayan salt and how it helped myself
and my family. My interest in salt came when I came across it on my Facebook feed one day
I saw a beautiful and unique looking
bowl with glowing rocks that looked like fire. I clicked the picture to see
what it was. It was the Himalayan
Salt Lamp. It explained how it was considered to be a natural
air purifier. So ok…even if it didn’t clean the air, I liked the looks
of it and so being it was before Christmas, I bought a lot of them for
gifts. I bought three of them for myself and put one in my living room,
one at my computer desk, and one on my night stand.
Then I went on a research rampage, as
I usually do, to find out what all the benefits are of this unusual piece. I
was amazed to find out about the different salts of the earth and wondered why
this was all kept a big secret.
I suffer from headaches
at least once a week but have not had a headache since I plugged these
Himalayan salt lamps up!!! Call it a coincident or a real miracle, I don’t know
but something happened and those
lamps are the only thing that I had done different to get rid of the
headaches.
I also found that the Himalayan Salt is really the best of all
salt products for your skin and aging….
…Just so happens my daughter had been
using it in her bath to get rid of the bad acne and oily skin problems
she had. Her skin cleared up and she continues to use the salt mask for her
face and salt in her bath.
So from these experiences, I wanted
to know the history and all the secrets about all the other kinds of salt in
the world. It has been a fun comparison research and I would like to share what
I have found out with you. I will tell you this……the secret
is in the salt.

Salt miners are really the first to make the discovery of the benefits of salt
Dating back to the 12th century in Eastern Europe and Russia. As the workers were chiseling, grinding and hammering at the salt, small particles were being disbursed into the air. They worked below the earth’s surface where air pressure, circulation, humidity and temperature affected the quality of their work environment. Spending all day in this environment, miners were breathing in these salt particles. People noticed that the miners rarely suffered from pulmonary and respiratory issues and also had no skin problems and even younger looking complexions than most people. The secret was known and that is when cave therapy or halo-therapy also known as speliotherapy was started. Halo-therapy and speliotherapy is the therapeutic use of salt caves or other forms of exposure to salt air. The term “Halo-therapy” comes from “halo”, the Greek word for salt. There are hundreds of varieties of salt
They are harvested by evaporating sea water or other mineral-rich waters or from salt mines from different regions across the world. Salt is traditionally harvested by solar evaporation ponds or rock deposits, living seas or dried up seas. Rock deposits were formed because the mountains were all once under water and were a part of the earth’s ocean floors. The salt was formed thousands of years ago and after the sea dried up around the majestic mountains and hills, our ancestors discovered these secret hidden caves and caverns of salt, full of rich ancient minerals such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, copper and iron. Solar evaporation ponds, almost always located in warm climates with high evaporation and low precipitation, are artificial basins that extract salt from the living seawater. Because of the pollution the seawater is sometimes filtered to remove the impurities. As the water dries up, it creates the salt crystals which are then raked for harvesting. What Others are Saying About Himalayan Salt Lamps…
“As far back as I can recall, I had feelings, of dreading the winter and went through a sort of depression. After using the Himalayan salt lamps in my home I started feeling more excited, energized and more alive in the winter.”-Ms Holmes“Thanks for fast delivery! Everyone loved the salt lamps I got them for Christmas! Thanks so much for making my holiday shopping quick and easy with such unique gifts!”-Sherrie
“I have a salt lamp and I have suffered from chronic anxiety for over 30 years. I found that putting it next to me on my night table when I sleep has helped to calm me, has helped my anxiety a lot and it helps me sleep. And I found that when I’m lying in bed I don’t get that mind spin in my head. And with the lamp right near me it’s just very soothing and I feel like I’m able to breathe easier.”-Deareah Blevins-OR
“Let’s face it; it is an attractive modern version of an ionizer and I love the idea. My breathing is much lighter and I don’t get upper respiratory problems half as much as I once did. My review of the Himalayan Salt Lamp is a thumbs up.”-John
HIMALAYAN SALT
Over 800 million years ago
a massive mineral deposit was left behind when the ocean evaporated and dried
up. The Khewra Salt Mine is the world’s oldest salt mine and still one of the
largest in the world and is located 190 miles from the Great Himalayas.
This salt mine is kept in a pristine
environment that is surrounded by snow and ice year round and is not affected
by the pollution now present in most of the world’s seas and oceans where salt
is produced. Himalayan is extracted from the mine by hand without the use of
any explosion techniques or mechanical devices. This salt is hand-selected,
hand-crushed, hand-washed, and sun dried and is 100% natural.
Clients often pay hundreds of
dollars to undergo various Himalayan
Salt therapies in lavish spas around the United States that have been
constructed to mimic the Himalayan Salt mines. Himalayan Salt has a rich
content of 84 minerals and trace elements which is the ideal salt for use in
such healing centers.
